Course Details
This course develops the first stage of C1-level performance across all skills. As part one of a two-course sequence, it focuses on helping you communicate fluently and spontaneously with a high level of control.
You learn to understand extended and complex texts that include abstract ideas, opinions, and implicit meaning across topics such as lifestyle, media, personal development, and social issues. You identify subtle differences in tone, intention, and perspective in spoken and written input. You develop your ability to communicate by expressing detailed opinions, evaluating ideas, and structuring arguments clearly. You also adapt your language to different contexts, including formal and semi-formal communication, and manage longer, more complex interactions such as discussions, recommendations, and proposals.
