Course Details

This course develops the first stage of A1-level performance across all skills. As part one of a two-course sequence, it focuses on helping you begin to communicate using simple language.

You learn to understand familiar words and basic phrases related to personal information, daily life, and immediate needs. You follow simple instructions and short texts, and recognize key information in clear, slow speech. You begin to communicate using simple sentences. You introduce yourself, ask for and give personal information, describe your daily routine, and talk about familiar topics such as food, family, and work. These skills will be expanded and strengthened in A1.2.
