Course Details

This course develops the first stage of B1-level performance across all skills. As part one of a two-course sequence, it focuses on helping you reach initial independence in communication.

You learn to understand the main points of clear input on familiar topics such as travel experiences, daily routines, and personal interests, and follow straightforward conversations and texts about real-life situations, including work, social life, and health.You begin to express ideas in a structured way by describing experiences, telling stories, and explaining your opinions about topics such as hobbies, future plans, and lifestyle choices. You also develop the ability to participate in everyday conversations, respond appropriately, and handle common communication tasks such as making arrangements, giving advice, and discussing plans. These skills will be expanded and strengthened in B1.2.
