Course Details

This course develops the second stage of B1-level performance across all skills. As part two of a two-course sequence, it focuses on helping you communicate more fluently and effectively in everyday and less familiar contexts.

You learn to understand the main points and specific details of extended speech and texts on topics such as lifestyle, travel, and social issues. You identify opinions, attitudes, and key information in a variety of spoken and written sources. You expand your ability to communicate by expressing opinions, giving reasons, making suggestions, and describing experiences in more detail. You also handle more complex situations such as formal communication, problem-solving, and discussing abstract or personal topics.
